I'm trying to figure out the name of this person on a helmet. Makes me wonder if it's Sutterlin or perhaps some other script. The final portion '1909' is easy to figure but everything else is difficult.

I'll post several photos...if it would help larger versions I can email them to you.

here's a little larger version broken in 2 levels...again, color and contrast tweaked to show off lettering.

When I checked Sutterlin in Wikipedia I started to have my doubts. If I had to take a guess I would assume a central European or Eastern European name based on the constant use...perhaps Romanian or Hungarian?

In any case, its from a LW single decal M42 (ET66).

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The first word appears to be "Szasz". If so, then the name could be Hungarian. A bit of help fron the fellow hungarian-speaking members could be useful. Cool
