DC,

I can't tell you much one way or the other about discerning an original of these great looking awards. I did check out some German websites and read as many threads as I could find relating to these Schot pieces. It seemed like anyone who was knowledgeable in this area
was skeptical of even finding a "good example."
They didn't go into specifics that I can relate here, other than saying finding an original was something of a daunting task.

This being said, I would urge you to use extra caution before buying. I think you should find some good solid tips on just how distinguish the good from the bad, from the ugly ...

I've also heard a few other debates on authentic Schot badges on American sites, so do be careful, ja?

Please let us know what you may discover regarding authenticity on these?

Best of luck!

Bill

Thanks for the replies so far sorry I could not post larger pictures. I have looked at pictures of other U Boat badges by this maker and their are differences. Seller wants $600 each for the badegs posted here. That's a high risk in my opinion.
