Paul,

A veteran's organization of former "Garde" regiment personel. The Latin motto translates, "To Each His Own," and is normally attributable to the "Regiment der Gardes du Corps."

The regiment was formed the same year as Frederick II (the Great) ascended to the throne in 1740. At first it was the royal bodyguard and later became the elite of all the cavalry units in Prussia.

These vet organizations were known as Krieger
Vereine and many of their pins and badges are very collectable these days.

Für Emden und Umgeben - for (the town of) Emden
and its outlying/surrounding areas.

Very nice pin. Hope this helps old man ... Wink

Best!

Bill
