First of all sorry for the small pics they are not mine. I am in no way an expert but a friend of mine is selling these on consignment and wants to know any background info on these. She was given these from her father and has asked $350 each?? Is she dreaming?

Couldn't see the first pic, but if it is as per the last, they look good. First one appears to be an officer's one (with the metal scale chinstrap), and the second is a standard Prussian Other Ranks version. I don't know current prices, but $350 is probably too cheap for an officer's one (but could be an OR's with chinstrap added, but I need to see more of it to know for sure). I'll buy them from her at those prices!

When I posted, the screen refresh revealed the first photo. Looks good. I'll have to look up what that plate is actually for, but tell your friend to ask more for that one. I'm sure someone here will be able to give you a better price guide.

Legion,

From the looks of it I'd say that would be a bargain, especially if you're into doing a bit of restoration work. The first helmet that has the Iron Cross applied to the plate is a reserve officer's helmet. Can't see how you could go wrong with these two units ..? Smile

Good luck!
