Anyone here who collects twins of HJ-knifes?

In my opinion, it is the best way to learn the typical features of a certain maker, because the second knife provides you a confirmation of what you observed on the first same knife.

Very nice "Devil twin" knifes, you show there, especialyy the 2end one in in super condition!

What is quite unique about Hartkopf is that they stamped the makersmark, but etched the RZM mark and date on some of their transitional knifes like yours.

Here is a 1937 example: the stamping appears black, the etching white... in sunlight.

The early twin on a blade with ricasso, the RZM was so lightly etched that it has almost vanished...

Interesting Herman! I didn't know the early twin stamping was seen on a double marked transitional. Is the year discernible?
