I found this dagger in a rental house I was painting...unfortunately the grips are gone. On the blade is "Eickhorn Solingen" below a picture of a squirrel holding a dagger. Then RZM in a circle with the M as the bottom part of the circle. Below that "M7/66" and "38" at the very bottom. I am no expert in this field but the closest I could find is a youth dagger? Would like to know a little more information and maybe a fair value...I have been offered $50 but that seems a little low even though the grips are missing?

Picture of Herman V. (aka Herr Mann)

The price would be what anyone is willing to pay for these parts.

What you have is what is most often left from these knifes: the metal hardware.

Parts that get used or broken (and therefore sought after) are: intact diamonds, original grip plates and scabbards with the full leather hanger intact.

Best greetings,

Herman
