I just got this one today and it's the first I've ever owned:

The Motto is somewhat light and therefore difficult tp photo. However it is better than it appears in this picture:

The makers mark is still very distinct and overall the knife is in very nice condition . It apparentely was never sharpened:

I don't think that's going to be the kind of "protection" I'll need there Manfred!!

Great knife. An early piece without a ricasso, and unsharpened to boot. I'm still looking for one like that. Very Nice!

I have decided to buy one more HJ (have too many already), and the one I buy should be just like yours! That is NOT an attempt to make you sell that one, but a complement! Its a real beauty! Not the easiest thing to find an early one in that condition!
