Gentlemen,

Got this HJ RZM M7/36 (Hörster), it has small grip rivets. Does this means automatically that they are replacements or were they used during the late 3R period?

All input more than welcome, thanks in advance,

Best regards,

Herman

Herr Mann, I have seen small rivets on HJ period
knifes that were out of the "woodwork". I am not a HJ expert, but I believe that the small rivets were used by certain makers in the early war period. I would not dismiss a HJ knife myself due to it having the smaller rivets alone.
Maybe we can get several other opinions on that from some of the experts here. I would like to know also.

I think you have to look at the whole knife. If everything seems right, then small rivets can be OK. I think your HJ looks correct! John
