Hi. I have the same knife in my collection! Though mine is a bit more salty lol.
This is a transitional knife. It does have the motto, doesnt it? If not, maybe it was polished.
As it is a transitional example, it is "common" among them. Could you post a photo of the observe blade without the reflection.
Thats such a nice knife!

Santiago

Hello JC,

That is a very nice, late Tiger HJ, your pictures show a non-magnetic hilt, so it is normal that there is no motto on the blade because it was produced after 1938.

Is that an annodised scabbard?

A close-up of the grip plates and the diamond is needed in order to give a definite opinion on those parts.

Best greetings,

Herman

Hello JC,

That last picture is not too sharp but the diamond looks fine.

Very nice late Tiger HJ-knife you got yourself!

Best greetings,

Herman

Interesting. I thought it was a transitional with a faded motto.
Thanks for the clarification, Herman.

Hello Santiago,

The motto-ed "transitional" Tiger HJ that you think of looks very similar, but is normaly marked with the year of production (see picture) and has a steel based hilt. I only have found 1936 examples of this one so far.

Best greetings,

Herman

Thanks for the photo!
Yes i see. Mine doesnt have the year, but i think it was worned off, because the "68" isnt very clear either.
