Hi, would You tell me more about this knife. Looks like HJ but....

Scabbard is originally painted black. Only marking on the blade is SOLINGEN.

Any Idea?

Hello Gottlieb,

Your knife has the fingerguard broken off and the grips seem to have been replaced with stag with no place for a diamond insignum. Looks like a modification into a hunting knife at some point in time.
The "solingen" mark on the ricasso is not seen on period blades that I know of.

The scabbard looks fine.

Best greetings,

Herman

Looks like a early post war knife made with left over parts.
