These two sets of hangers were on Eban recently. Both sold for decent money, the first set sold for $736 & the second sold for $535. What are they?

They're supposed to be RAD leader's hangers. It's amazing how many of these have been 'discovered' in the former Soviet Union. I tell a lie. The buckles are the wrong shape. OK. Question is open again!!

Do you see how the leather is chopped off at the end of the buckle attachment on the back? That means at best a badly shortened set--at worse a fake made from Army hangers. They don't look short--- so?? Whata ya think?

Houston & Terry,

I have to agree with you, they look cobbled together. I thought something was incorrect with them, just wasn't sure what they were supposed to be. I initially figured someone was shilling the sets up, high bidder is allegedly in Switzerland. Here's the other set with a different top piece.

Houston,

Eban's had lots of "interesting" items lately. What do you think about the police marking on this frog? It's also maker marked Hans Römer, Neu Ulm.
