The component parts look right for an early unmarked hanger but it is assembled differently to my two with the buckle facing the opposite direction. Maybe this is just a variation but that is the only difference that I can see.

The embosed lines on the edge are a little deeper than I'm used to seeing but, I don't see anything wrong with it. Are there any markings on the leather? Without any SS markings it could be either SS or NSKK.

Thanks guys, i appreciate your help with this one.
There are no markings anywhere.
Interetsing point about the buckle, you're spot on with that.
If it was an SA hanger i'd have been happy but with SS it always pays to be careful.
Thanks again, Ant.

The metal parts are OK. Hangers are found with the buckles pointing both way since they had to be taken apart when being removed from the dagger and was not always replaced the same way.

The leather is always one of these things to be decided on inspection unless it is really obviously new or one of those newer fakes with the big letters.
