Hello fellow collectors

I want to show you this Teno-hanger.
A friend of me would like to know if it is original.
There are actually very good copys of such hangers on the market.
I know, that leather is not easy to judge only from this pictures.
But maybe anyone can say something about the originality.

If that is a reproduction then it is a VERY good one. It looks good to me. Leather looks right & the rivet & stitching also. Unless leather is actually very old it will still have the smell of leather which is a good indication.

Udet my friend...
I`m not an expert for Hauers and its attachements at all.
But all I see is like I know this from
other original Teno hangers.

I´m shure gd.com is the right forum to get some informations about its originality...but unfortunately the accounterments-tree is not visit so god like the daggers forums..

If I was going to buy one--it would be the type without the triangle stitching in the center. We never saw that type in the old days.

About 20 years ago a whole lot of these hangers with the triangle appeared on the market place. They were all in mint condition and had an odd smell to them. They were rather cheap and flooded the market bringing the prices of all types down for quite a long time. All types were very difficult to sell--everyone had one.
Before that we had never seen this type.
They do have some minor differences when compared to the type without the triangle.
I am not saying they are fake but you can see why I prefer the other type.

Hi Houston Coates,

Thanks for Your reply.
I`m also have some bad feelings about this hanger.
Because I also only have this pictures from an offer to me.
I know the triangle from copies to. But I also know this from 100% original hangers´:
It`s a fact, that the copies are getting the quality from the originals.
I have decided that this hanger isn`t the right for me. I dont wont a hanger in my collection
with questionable details.

Best,
Udet
