Can someone give me some photos that illustrate how to tie a bayo knot? Orpo (George) posted what looks to be a period instruction for knot tying.

I just can't get this correctly. Sword knots are basic. But getting the bayo knot to criss-cross is killing me.

Any help appreciated. Never had to tie a bayo knot in the past.

Thank you,
Tom

The knot was a bit on the crispy side in certain confined areas. The were minimal signs of crackinig, but they are cracking none the less. I subsequently treated the knot and now is much more pliable and teh cracks are no longer an immediate issue. Hopefully if there is any leather rot, it's now been halted.

Every time I try to tie it, I end up with a birds nest (fishing term Wink) on the frog. I can tie a sword knot in my slepp with my eyes closed while dreaming. But can't get this one. Very frustrating Mad
