Hello Flyboy.
Whenever you see that the rear studs are not threaded, or stud removed, it is a bad sign. I'm not a railroad expert per se. but I do feel this item is a repro. Houston has a 24" railroad for sale now in the "For Sale" section.
Take a look and you will see what I mean. -wagner-

To my understanding, the coning are not threaded because it is original as it is when it left the manufacturing company. whether to drill or make a thread on the cone would be decided later when they know how to mount it on the locomotive, train or building etc...

well if i am wrong could anybody correct me? Smile yours humblely - reicheagles -

I bought it. The measurments are 23 3/4'X 13 1/4' It dosen't show in the photo but the surface of the wings and the swas are polished. This is smaller then any RW eagles I have seen. Could this Reichsadler be intended for an office?

I believe the "loc" denotes its intended manufacture was for a locomotive. Someone has published a book on this subject.

Sorry for the typo, should have said "lok" for locomotive.

No problem with this one. Years ago I did not like the unfinished type although I know I was wrong. They are 100% original!
Best Wishes,
