I was fortunate to get an e-mail from a fellow I bought some Allach from a couple of years ago. He was getting married and wanted to raise some cash. His e-mail said these three pieces were listed on e-bay and he wanted to let me know. I made him an offer for all three, which rarely come for sale, and I received them yesterday. I hope he is as happy with his bride as I am with these examples!

Is that last piece painted with the wartime yellow rather than the gold?

Hi Don,

yes, the painted piece is painted kind of a mustard yellow and marked with the number 23 and has an impressed Allach name and runes in an octagon. The plain white one has painted green runes and nothing else, while the larger example is marked with the number 22 and impressed like the painted model.

Have you ever seen any of these for sale?

Occasionally they crop up on the market over here. I've never seen one with the yellow though, only with gold.
