Ryan,

A couple of years ago, I picked up machine signed copy of the award document for about $300 at one of the shows. I don't know what a Himmler hand signed document would go for.

Hi Jan I have owned three examples they are getting scarce and harder to obtain as collectors finally realize the significance of them....I didn't notice any great color differences other than exposure to sunlight and soot there may have been slight differences in the tint of the clay used or the effects of the firing process but I do not believe that there are any great color variances.....cheers, Ryan I see that a Himmmler signed card is still listed as sold upon a dealer site but without the price still posted...I would assume that its value/cost would reflect the current market value of a Himmler signature...thanks and cheers, Ryan

Would a fair market price for a nice example with machine signed certificate be $1300? There were only two examples at the past Max and both were priced at $1100 and both sold one had certificate and it sold for $900....cheers, Ryan

Ryan:

$1,000 for the Julleuchter and $300 for the certificate... sounds about right.

Not everyone collects these things, they are pretty ugly and clunky compared to what we think of as Allach. But, a unique piece of SS lore and history.
