I love this dagger. I would like to know this dagger is early SA Marine or NSKK dagger?

Good question.

I bought this one a while ago from a guy located at the Baltic Sea. It´s a Pack with group stamp "Nm" for Nordmark (which was the region at the Baltic Sea). The guy sold it as NSKK dagger, at which the owner erroneously had painted the grip black as well (as obviously some few storm troopers of the former motor groups misunderstood the order to paint the scabbard black (to be identified as NSKK) and they painted the entire dagger black).

I posted the pics of the dagger and was told it´s indeed an early SA Marine (considering the group stamp it could be possibly a SA Marine group from the Baltic Sea).

However, I´m still not sure if this is true or not, since I did not find anything in period literature nor reference books.

Thus I would be interested to receive more information regarding this question!

BTW - cool looking dagger, Ilya.

Hello Gent's,
I believe it was discussed here awhile back that these Black grip daggers were made for the early NSKK and only for a short time before the grip was done in brown, the SS stoped this practice from what i remember. If you guy's get the time browes through the old threads, you might find the topic.
I do remember Paul Hogel had one for sale last year and may have some info on them.

Sincerely,

Eric Wien
