I have received a photo of the blade, which shows the side with inscription. But it´s resolution is so high, that I can´t even compress it. Only when I cut out single views, it seems to work. Sorry for the bits and pieces.

IMO it´s a faked inscription. The motto and tademark of this maker are usually quite dark, sometimes nearly black. The inscription doesn´t match here. It´s too greyish. Additionally the distance between Röhm and trademark is too close.

It looks like the MM ha wery "strait"lines?

If it is etched the lines is not so "strait"?
Just a thought.

The very 1st test should be that the inscription and the maker mark should match in depth and colour.

Did Aesculap make Rohm daggers using this large maker mark? I thought they only used a smaller mark on Rohm pieces (but maybe I am confusing them with Gebr. Heller).
In any case, there are flaws in the Rohm inscription which look too bad to be original. Most obviously the blob on the second hump of the letter "M" in "Rohm".
