I assume that Eichkorn is most likely the most commonly encountered full or partial Rohm SA dagger. I was wondering what would be the next most available maker and then the next all the way down to the rarest maker.I'm considering buying a partial and would like to obtain as rare a maker as could be encountered. I had a partial Eickhorn a few years ago but traded it away on another item.I need to replace it and hope to do so with a rare maker. Mike

Fisher's book lists his take on how many each maker made but the list isn't complete as it misses some recent additions like Heller

Neal Jackson was working on a Rohm List until he suffered a burglery at home where a portion of his collection was stolen. Frown

He had identified 20 Rohm makers at the time with another two "possibles".
SMF was also a Rohm maker. A rare one to find.

Here we have a screen shot that I luckily saved at the time since the thread is long gone.

A Richard Plumacher professionaly ground Rohm is shown in my first calendar. There were still traces of the inscription left.
Unfortunately, I sold it years ago.

Brian,
That had to be one of the rarest Rohm makers. A regular SA by Plumacher is a "10" ! Eek
Now I got to dig out your calendars again. Wink

I sold it to Joe Buffer back in '88. He may still have it.
As I remember, it's not a great photo.

I'm thinking that Eickhorn is probally the most encountered Rohm SA dagger with Pack running a very close second. I would then put Henckels as third, but I'm not as sure as the first two. Anyone have any ideas what the top five or six makers might be. Many of the makers listed earlier would be very rare and hard to place in any rarity order. mike

As I offered, not a great photo. I should have done a close up up the traces of the inscription.

Now that's a peculiar looking blade judging from the position of the motto. Would love to have seen more on this dagger...
