Ron, David... thankyou. I thought as much too, I just needed some more experienced collectors to confirm it.

I knew it was too good to be true. This Seller has 2 available, one for Euros 750.00 and the other for Euros 1100.00.

It looks like the inscription is deeper and darker than the maker mark,they should be the same.

That's a good point. They were both applied at the same time so they should have the same depth. Trademark location is also a big problem.

Theres been a whole heap of these coming up on militaria web etc lately full and partial all of them appear to have been done yesterday. When your looking at spending good money on a Rohm my advice would be to use a reputable dealer, sure it may cost you a little more but at the end of the day you get an inspection period and a return policy

Sounds like good advise to me. To buy one of these without a return policy and guarantee is really risky.

Way too risky to be buying daggers like this on Ebay with all the thieves out there today. When in doubt ,buy a piece like this from a dealer with lots of experience.
