We did one twenty years ago. I don't know what I did with it. New makers have surfaced since then, so maybe some of you guys should work on a new one.

Some idiot in the conservation forum suggested that I rub my Dick with Semichrome.
It didn't seem to help much, infact, it burned quite a bit, I don't suggest it to anyone!
Well, at least I am protected agains rust!!! No longer do I have to worry about strange women who might pass on a nasty case of rust on to me!
Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Ahhh, well I have had fun with this thread.
NICE daggers guys!
PS- If you find that Rohm rarity list, I would love to see it!!!

According to Fisher Reference, Aesculap is estimated to have produced 5,726 SA Rohm inscribed daggers.

Is it correct that only around 130.000 SA daggers with Röhm inscription have been ever produced? If so, I would rate the maker Aesculap as quite rare with only around 4% of all Röhm daggers made. What do you think?

I would say....Yes, rarer than some..but not the rarest. Wink
Again according to Fisher Reference, (many of these figures have been disputed, however he does state that it is only an estimate) that there are three makers and possibly four that produced less Rohms than Aesculap.
It is stated that each of the following makers produced only 2,863 samples each.
1. Henckels. J. A.
2. Kober & Co.
3. SMF
Gebruder Heller, small anchor (Rohm) logo, is thought to have been also a limited producer, however figures are not avaliable at present.
There are only 10 verified makers of SA Rohm dedication blades, with perhaps another "possible" two.
Eickhorn by far the largest producer 60K +. Followed by Pack & Sohn with around 25K.

Here's a couple of the hard makers to find, partial inscription or not.
