I have seen amazing prices being asked for complete German paratrooper parachutes now. (Amazing because when I started collecting, they were relatively easy to buy in the $300 range and you could be picky.) I saw one at the Max Show a month ago at $3500, and I have heard of others offered in the $3500-4000 range. Whether any of these has actually SOLD for that price, I couldn't say. It has been 25 years since I looked at parachutes from the standpoint of buying one -- except of course, for the quest for the Holy Grail of FJ collecting, an intact RZ1. Can others provide any data on recent sale prices?

Cargo 'chutes are pretty much out of my lane. I have never priced one. But I think few would dispute they are less desireable and less valuable than paratrooper parachutes. I think actually there is not much demand for cargo parachutes.
