Hi guys I have what I believe to be a genuine veteran acquired general's modified overseas cap. It is an EM's cap with a gold toned eagle (possibly kreigsmarine) roundell and gold bullion sewn piping..The piping is sewn correctly and has been on the cap forever..it lines up exactly with the wear patterns. The cap is in very nice condition with a little moth towards the rear of the cap. It was acquired in an RCAF Air Gunner's uniform group to a chap stationed in Italy. The cap has been worn and all of the insignia appears to be originally sewn to include the piping. Is there anyone who can post pics for me? Also if not a General's cap is there any other explanation for what the cap could be? Finally a value...thanks for your assistance, cheers, Ryan

Thanks for posting..the pics do not do the cap justice..it has one of those "been there" looks and the wear patterns from the piping are great. The piping in the reverse is done properly, as on Officer visored caps.I intend to post in the classifieds with pics.

Looks like a Coastal Artillery officer overseas cap to me. Certainly not army general...

Yes, this is a coastal artillery officers OS cap..
I would think $275.00 to $375.00 in that condition..
