I need a cap to display my bevo totenkopf on. I realize I may be making some collectors cringe but,...my bevo "tots" are presently inside plastic coin containers, but my intentions include something along the lines of purchasing period, UV-Free thread and building a "display piece", for them. I have a gray thread deaths-head, and an aluminum flat-wire one. So there is a question there as to which, if either is correct to this style cap. If any forum reader can help me Thank you in advance! Pauli

Hello Pauli,

your cap seems to be a HJ cap, and no comment about the period construction...

The style is totally wrong for either an Army or Waffen-SS panzer cap so hold onto your skull insignia. It has been either reworked a lot inside, or is late war manufactured from scraps.
