For those who haven't seen it yet... This is an estate here in Czech Republic. Owner's grandpa started collecting in 1945, in Czech republic and mainly in Germany, buying it at funny prices or trading for food. He states he does not understand it, everything was sitting in cabinets till last year when his father dieds... Will post more pics later. Cca 180-200 pcs of uniforms...
Enjoy... I will do not question the originality.

Jan

The guy only told his grandpa collected all those items and when he died, his father did not continue but closed everything in cabinets to hide it through difficult socialist era...
I am curious if this fairytale is true but nobody told these are fakes, everything looks nice, there is only comment how could 12. SS HJ guy has Winterschlacht im Osten medal ribbon....
OK, let's wait for comments from experienced collectors, I am curious...

Not in regards to this uniform , but the 12.SS Hitler Jugend's NCO and officer cadre came from units who would have saw action on the eastern front, as thus would be eligible for the Russian front medal..

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

a cufftitle should be sewn on the french cuff instead on the arm ... many faked insignias and reapplied insignias and all is already visible from these view pictures.

You are right Pat, I think simmilar was written about E-bay: "Buy the item, not the story" Wink

For all: There are 350 comments about this at Detektorweb, but nothing new from guy who posted pics. At the beginning there were advices to move it to safe, move out with whole family to secret place etc... Now originality of all items is widely discussed and questioned....

I've heard almost that eaxact story before on a large collection from that area:
"He was just young boy and as Germans ver retreating mit many SS troops in May 1945, he collect many tings and hid them from evil communists all thes years. Now he very old and he know I like these things so he give to me for my collection. He be angry if he know I sell. That vhy I no vant to put on ebay, I sell to gut kollector like you. Sorry here in Czech republik no paypal...Vestern Union or Bank Vire Transfer.".

But Hey Guys, I'm sorry, but I really like the story. Big Grin

A Doubt ? Smile

in the Nazi collection the "doubt" is always a real question...
