I think this is a Forestry shoulder tab of some kind, picked it up at a large antique market yesterday, Dark green velvet reverse, front has a tarnished golden background with the green braided front. My only reference I have is just line drawings with no colour, could this be for an Oberlandforstmeister.?

Hi Gary! Nice board. It appears to have had a pip at one time. Definately for the State forestry service. I will have to look up the exact rank.

You need an acorn instead of a pip.
