I recentely acquired this "Bluse" and I'm at a loss as to what it is!
I'm bringing this back up in hopes someone can identify it.

The buttons appear to be some sort of plastic material and there are three horizontal lions on them.

The top line of the tag reads: Materia_oleslaa___e_.

Next line is Bluse
Merrelse 102
Drerridde 102 cm
Li_vidde 88 cm
This tag is very faded and the underlines are letter that can't be made out. Dutch??

Methinks Danish or Norwegian. Check coat of arms for those countries; the three lions the key.

Thanks for the info.
The lions on the buttons are very similiar at least in layout to the lions pictured on this postwar E. German? shoulder patch.
I've also found this mark 19 EYI 35 (1935?) marked faintly on the lower edge inside.

The language of the label is certainly neither Dutch nor German. On thinking about it, my money is on Danish....

I believe this tunic is one worn by free Danish in Britain during WW11.

Thanks for the info guys. The concensus seems to be it's Danish. How it ended up in Arizona is a mystery to me! The only Danish we usuallly get here come from bakeries or as tourists! Wink
