Gentlemen,

I got some uniform-pieces direct out of the woodwork. I'm not very familiar with the uniforms of the NSDAP and the SA. So I thought to post it here.

I hope, that other collectors could help me with my asks to this nice and for my opinion untouched pieces.

This is a brownshirt. Is it NSDAP or SA? What rank? why is the piping blue? Why are there no shoulderstraps?

The hooks for the belt are missing. What colour would be correct for them? Silver or gold? (The buttons are silver).

Here is the foto of the collar tabs. What was the duty of a man like this?

Another tunic out of the same family. Why has it no shoulderstraps? How does the missing correct armband for this tunic look? What does the white piping mean? What belt would be the correct one?

A lot of asks. I hope it's not too much.

And a last one: what kind of belt was worn with the brownshirt I posted at first?

Regards

THE BROWNSHIRT IS FOR AN ORTSGRUPPEN POLITICAL LEADER. THE COLLAR TABS REFLECT THE RANK OF BLOCKLEITER. THE TABS ARE THE TYPE WORN ON TH4E 1936 PATTERN UNIFORM UP UNTIL THE MID 1939 INTRODUCTION OF THE FINAL PATTERN INSIGNIA. THE CHEVRON IS A SA ALTERKAMPFER WINKEL, THAT WAS REPLACED BY CUFF LITZEN ON SA UNIFORMS IN 1934. THE WEAR AND LOCATION OF THIS INSIGNIA ON THIS SHIRT IS NON REGULATION FOR A POLITICAL LEADER.
THE TUNIC IS THE FOURTH PATTERN, 1939 INSIGNIA. THE COLLAR TABS REFLECT THE PAY GRADE OF HAUPTGEMEINSCHAFTLEITER. THE MISSING ARMBAND WOULD REFLECT THE POSITION HELD BY THE WEARER. YOU SHOULD FIND OUT IF THE FAMILY REMOVED THE ARMBAND BUT KEPT IT.
VERY NICE SET OF UNIFORMS

MOST LIKELY , THE WEARER WOULD HAVE WORN THE STANDARD POLITICAL LEADER BELT AND BUCKLE. HE OOULD ALSO WEAR THE CLAW BUCKLE BELT.

Bob,

thanks for your help. Great informations for me. What do you know about the colour of the missing hooks on the brownshirt? Always golden or like the buttons (here in silver)?

Pascal,

you may be right, but I presume silver was only for NSKK, SA and NSDAP always golden hooks, because all there buckles were goldencoloured.
