I have no idea if these Political sleeve insignias are real or repros, but I hope that someone will be able to tell.

Pat, compared with originals, the workmanship on these is downright horrid, goofy, if not even funny. Am unable to post pictures, but I'm looking at pictures of a couple of gorgeous originals in an old collector's publication of Spring 1988 "The Phoenix Exchange", on page 24, in an article by Jill Halcomb. Perhaps someone will post pictures of an original, so you can see the huge differences.

Thanks for your help Schloss. I had no idea of telling if they were repro or not, since I have never seen those before and have no reference books on the subject. I will stick to daggers. Luckily, these were bought in an antique shop for 5$ each. Gruben |

I don´t know If you know that, but these patches were not worn by "political leaders". That are arm patches for members of the diplomatic corps. An image attached.
