Hallo, I have this GreatCoat to Identify and I ask your help for it. I believ it to be Forestry, but I don't know if ww2 or post. Anyway the GreatCoat is made of an high quality dark (but brilliant) deep green cloth and typical german finishing, stitchings and style. The buttons are Assmann Extra Fine. There are evident traces of collar tabs (as you can see on picture 1) but not about shoulder boards or oany other insignia.

Not much to go on here but the coat looks like a postwar police or forestry greatcoat to me from the photos. Any labels or markings?

There isn't any markings nor labels.
I have several german WW2 military and political great coats and the construction methods and materials are almost the same of this except for the sleeves. In this one the sleeves are clean and not doubled, as in postwar stuff.
I've seen that the color is almost similar to old Customs Green(Zoll) in pre36 manner, but if it would be Customs, it's buttons shall be in Gold and the shadow of collar tabs should be different in shape.

I think postwar, something like westgerman police, custom- or borderservice.
