Here's a tunic I acquired recently. Not seen very often but I think its quite neat and bridges a wonderful gap between WWI and the 3rd Reich period. Though there are loops for the medal bar on the upper chest, the originality of the medal bar to this tunic could certainly be questionable also the sleeve brassard...but it is a nice touch in my opinion. Tunic is fully lined in tannish cotton twill. All comments and input appreciated. Thanks!

Robert

Robert,

A very nice closed collar Stahlhelm tunic indeed. For comparison, here is an open collar version of the Stahlhelm tunic. This example has had the waist belt loops/buttons carefully removed and does have the cloth shoulder loop for the cross belt that indicates rank. Just another variation on the theme.

Very fine and a nice comparison. I will probably be tempted to doll my display up with an EK first class and a wound badge...maybe a Stahlhelm badge too. Thanks for posting.
