I noted at his funeral Hitler shaking hands with the two sons. Does anyone have information as to what became of them ? Most of the offspring of the inner circle have surfaced in one way or another but never heard of this line.

lloyd,
He is talking about Heinrich's children.
There is a book on this very subject, here is the link:

I think Paul may be talking about Reinhard Heydrich. I remember seeing footage of his funeral, where I believe Hitler consoled two boys.

Thank You Sepp! That looks like a good'un to me. Just ANOTHER book to buy! Good God when will this book buying stop? I am reading about F-86 Sabres, F9F Panthers, Auschwitz (X2) and all at the same darn time!

Another classic example of "the sins of the father"!

Thanks again Sepp! BTW, I liked reading all I have about your "name's sake"!

Hitler had a sister that survived the war! Paula. 1960. "The personal fate of my brother affected me very much. He was still my brother, no matter what happened. His end brought unspeakable sorrow to me, as his sister."

WE all know of Boreman's sons, Goring's Daughter and others, and some gave very personal insights into their early lives during the reich.

I like the idea of the above mentioned book, but it only covers 2 people. Is there a book that covers a larger pool on Nazi leader's kids? Steve

"My Father's Keeper" by Norbert Lebert was originally released in 1959. It was updated by his son Stephan and issued again in 2000..
It's an interesting read, mostly covering interviews with children of Hess, Borman, Frank, Von Shirach, By contrast the interviews with Edda Goering and Gundrun Burwitz (Himmler) are limited without much information as they avoided reporters and writers.
Actually most of the intetviews are old, and it's unknown is some of the descendants are still alive.
Overall it's an interesting but predictable book.

Did we ever determine the thread is about Heydrich's children rather than Heinrich's?
If so, here is Heider Heydrich.
