yes, both baddies. But Heydrich got what he deserved. Hocker squeaked by,,he should have got the rope around his neck at wars end and didn't..
Jim, is that a photograph or a postcard? Anything on the back? ,G. |

Gaspare: Actually I should have provided the above link earlier. It is from the SS officers own photo album from his service at Auschwitz. The album was recently donated to the American Holocaust Museum. Jim |

Jim, thanks so much. What a great acquisition for the museum. I've been there several times,,its one of the best holocaust museums there is! I've sat for days in the photo archives lab and didn't even begin to scratch the surface of the photos they had. Free admission, great place for research, authentic artifacts.. Theres usually a holocaust survivor there walking around that will answer random questions and there's also special guest lectures all the time. Can't recommend the museum enough..
Hocker,,involved with the camp system just about his whole career and he escaped the hangman!,,,sometimes there is no justice. |

Did any of you guys see that article on the NY Times a few days ago, re. the out of the woodwork SS Auschwitz photobook, showing the key SS officers relaxing, celebrating Christmas etc? It was donated to the Holocaust museum in DC. I think Hocker was among those shown
