Hello Jim, when I bought my house 15 yrs. ago I went out and bought a high dollar[$2250]Cub Cadet tractor 'cause my yard is .6 acre. It performed flawlessly for 14 yrs. until last fall when it became hard to start, stalling and backfiring. Finally, it gave up the ghost! I think the ethanol they put in gasoline nowadays "poisoned" it! Anyway, it's in the shop. I cut .6 of an acre with a 20" push mower for 3 weeks and said enough! Went to Lowe's and picked up this one for $999. It's not nearly built as well[no grease fittings, belt drive, etc.] but it cuts great and it's pretty! Regards, Leipzig

Update! Got my old Cub Cadet back from the shop and it turns out the fuel system was in perfect shape, no problems from the ethanol. The spark-control module took a crap! The old girl runs just as good as the day I brought her home 14 yrs. ago! The engine is a 12.5 h.p. Kohler Command. It's only got 250 hrs. on it. The guy at the repair shop said he's seen Kohler's run over 1000 hrs. This tractor has a full-length welded steel frame, cast-iron front axle, holds 3 gal. of fuel, has "idiot" lights for amps and oil pressure, hour meter, grease fittings everywhere [9], 1 inch steel drive-shaft, electric P.T.O. and must weigh 100 lbs. more than the Troy-Bilt! But, alas, no beer holder! Been garage-kept since it was new, attached a couple pics, looks pretty good for 14 yrs! Regards, Leipzig
