Can anyone post a picture of this tiger symbol. I think it was used on the 501 st.

Vic, your correct on the unit. Schwer Panzer-Abteilung 501, which later became 424th s.Pz-Abteilung. Info and photo came from "Tiger I On the Eastern Front" by Jean Restayn. I know I have a better image of the insignia but can't find it at the moment. Hope this will do.
