Stephen,

Yep! I am a retired police (US) Master Sergeant and I collect police stuff from the US as well as other countries. Send me a PM as I am an ex-motorcycle officer myself.

Thanks for that Robert, Here is the above Chicago officers buddies jacket I have,Officer Ogletree was first stationed in disrict #8-South Chicago, then retiring in district #7-Woodlawn. It seems that instead of changing the complete patch they issued inner patches when the officer moved districts. As far as Im aware these sew-on badges are very rare and I very recently mailed one of the foremost Chicago badge collectors who had never seen one before and didnt know they were issued. I have been in law enforcement for fifteen years and have a few items I have come across. I have a small collection of badges and some uniforms. I also have a hat that I am told is a turn of the century NY state hat. I will get a picture and put it up. Nice to know there are others here.

The only ones that I have, I have to keep as they were mine on 2 departments, badges that is. I also have my old Sheriff's Dept helmet as well as a few "Folger Adam" jail keys.

I know exactly where you can get some. Manion's auction, at least as of last week, had a scad of badges. I mean pages of them!

I have never (last 30 years) seen FPS use this style. Most likely a private purchase off duty badge.
