I'm new here and know nothing about steins. I have a couple that my father-in-law brought from Germany. I will post others later. Can someone tell me about this one including it's value? The litho on the bottom depicts a scene similar to the one on the stein of the man and woman in the window.

very nice regimental...leibgarde...it take it is was garrisoned in München...somewhere on there should be the service years...I would guess between 1897 and 1900. $150.00-200.00 would be a good range. your SteinMeister.

The dates and other identifing information should be in the bandeau or scroll just under the drum on the front of the stein body.

Your suspected date is probably very close based on the shape of the stein body and style of decoration. I bet you're within 2 years plus or minus.

That means that he served from 1894-96. Very early stein...and very desirable.
