i picked this up at a garage sale,,,,other than it obviously being aviation related,,,what is the function or usage of this patch & what value,a best gestimate will suffice,for this patch as it is attached to this card from the 50's or 60's...thanks guys

I believe that would have been worn by a private of the Air Corps, just as an infantry private would have worn the crossed rifles, artillery crossed cannon. It seems the stripe for the private was somthing that happend later on. Nice patch~!

Value of most branches of service $10-25, but aviation maybe $25-50. These turn up on occasion
