Hello stein lovers. Since I collect mainly hunting association related items, I really like some of the classy hunting steins. I find them very hard to acquire and only have about a dozen nice older ones. I see a lot of newer ones, but not for me. If any of you know where to acquire more like the ones in the picture, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks, James

Quality ‘early’ hunting related steins (as you’ve pictured) are indeed hard to acquire. The later (current) style with the iridescent goldish honey-toned tan pottery and the cheap ‘tittie‘ shaped cheesy lids are of no collector value – they are simply decorator items.

Here are some pics of a Third Reich period Hunting Association stein. This is the actual stein is pictured in the Gary Kirsner book German Military Steins 1914-1945 (second edition).
