I have a 1933 type II chained scabbard. It seams like the center band is mounted a bit low on the scabbard, and not in the middle. I have been looking at some photos here on the site and in books. When I measured the center band screw to the top of the throat it is 4 1/4 inches. Is that an okay measurement. It seems like the center band is tight. Thanks

Hello P-35, my type 2 measures 3 1/2 inches from the center of the screw to the top of the throat. Attached is a pic. Regards, Leipzig

I have measured from the top of the throat to the centre of the swasticka on the ramps as the screws are in slightly different places.
Type 1s, 88.87mm 89.01 mm 89.74mm Type 2s, 89.77mm 87.98 |

To be consistient how about measuring from the top of the arch of the top fitting to the center of the center fitting as represented by either end of the white line?

Thanks monogbongo, texas I guess mesuremet from the center of the arch is a good common point to measure. I measured from the top outer lip to the center band screw. I know that most were somewhat a custom piece. I am curious if mine is a small band width.
