Not in Wittmann's book and not so common. Here is my 1052/38.

Noted that one posted has a different maker etch. All share one trait, very brittle grips. Both in the links below are in excellent or unissued condition and mine as well appears unworn, yet they all have damage to grips.

Dave - Do you have more photos of your tagged one? Would like to see the maker mark differences. I see two now for 1938

Very little known for SS, but interesting maker and good looking dagger btw. Paul H. has one 1052/38 on his website http://www.lakesidetrader.com/pics/Ss-191d.jpg

Hi Jeff
You are indeed correct. There are 2 know variants of this mark. Why?
A- Puma decided to change their etch mid stream. or
B-Possibly a portion of this contract was completed by another maker.

Yes indeed, I am 100% on that one. All seem to have a brittle grip even with tags on them.
