The grip is nice and heavy, much better than most other makers.

Just like a Himmler grip.

It also has a painted scabbard, does yours ?

stirnpanzer, mine has an anodized scabbard, the previous owner removed a vertical hanger and it left "witness" marks. This might sound stupid, but the "Reinh." stands for Reinhardt! Don't know how many folks knew that! Regards, Leipzig

Good catch. Not very many of those around.

It looks like there might be an oil film on the blade, which should wipe off OK.

Both of mine have anodized scabbards, so yours was probably repainted at some time.
