Dear collectors,
please have a look of the knife.
The back side of the grips are flat.
What is it? A period, fantasy, or post war veteran organisation?

So far the so called SS knifes I have seen have turn out to be pure fantasy. Yours could be a legit personal knife that original owner had some extras done. Even so its hard to prove.

Generally speaking when you find large runes or swastikas "field" added to items they turn out to be bad. In my experience period enhancements of this type have these symbols more subtlety done. Seems like a lot of work went into this "combat" piece. Although it could be period done you will have a hard time convincing some....

I would have thought that if it was real, there would be far more detail to the crafstmanship.
