This blade is being sold as an original, (minus the Himmler inscription).

Is the maker markings common?

I've only noticed the 1211/XX, the RZM & SS marks before, not one that's included the maker mark on a '39 blade...?

The, (maker), markings on the blade though... is there more of this variation?

I read more than I write...

I think the consensus was that the blade & RZM markings are possible legit, but that the E.Pack maker-mark and Himmler inscription (both fake) have been added to it.

I agree that this blade having the himmler inscription makes it a fake but is there a possibility that this could be an original balde that somebody ruined by putting the inscription on post war? I thought the spine on the front looked pretty high?

I see that nobody has answered to SSman`s question?? I`d also like to know the answer to this, as I`m also sitting with a blade of the same maker and RZM stamps, however, it also bears a bogus inscribtion, and in my opinion, this blade is right, just not the added dedication??

I have the exact same piece with same markings.
I posted it in repo forum and was told the whole thing was fake.
The scabbard and vert. hanger that came with it looked good to me.
