i have just purchased an ss dagger from a dealer on the internet, now its arrived ive noticed the blade isnt flush with the cross guard on both sides, i can sli9de paper in to the gap, should i return this dagger?

Make sure the pommel nut is hand tightened as far as you can.

On RZM daggers a gap between the blade and cross guard is not uncommon. Photos would tell a lot more.
