The fit and step might not be an issue. You need to remember that a dagger is a collection of parts that was assembled. Something about that grip looks fake though. Maybe the fact there is no wear and not a mark on it and it looks like someone has sanded it gently to remove a new finnish.
Here is a poor fitting grip aquired directly from the SS guy that owned it (who was still alive). So they did make them a bit poorly sometimes! ![]() |

Hi Mongobongo!
I agree with everything you have said and I do think there is a good chance the grip is fake. I have had many daggers with a poor fit where the sides of the grip join the cross-guard. However, the fit of the top or bottom of the grip to cross guard has always been excellent unlike this one. Thanks and if anyone else would like to voice their opinion I would appreciate it.
