I have some pot metal chrome plated SS crossguards on a Gottlieb Dagger ....They are marked P1 on the inside ...are these generally associated with Gotlieb M33 daggers????

In my opinion, no.

I am not aware of any early maker-marked dagger that used plated crossguards. In that the reverse is true. The first of the RZM daggers and even a few later ones can be found with nickel silver crossguards.
