Measure the blade. The shape looks strange, but that is probably the picture.

It should be 220 mm, not less.

I'd also recommend getting better pictures of the blade. It looks to me like there is considerable "surface disturbance" to the right and below the black box in picture 2.
Dave's right about measuring the blade. He personally saved me from an expensive mistake at the MAX last year. Smile

I see no evidence in these photos that this piece is a ground Roehm. I do like the patina of the fittings and the anodized scabbard looks very nice. Too bad about the big chunk out of the grip. It can be repaired, however.

First of all, the serial number is low enough to be a ground Roehm. Secondly, look at the area on the reverse of the blade just past the TM and you can see that the center ridge is grossly different from the area below the TM. Another indication of factory re-grinding.
I would have to examine the whole blade to be sure, but Hammesfahr did a lot of factory re-grinding and produced a large number of the Roehms.
