I'm always suspicious of faint/fuzzy images. Here is an example that demonstrates the reason for my point of view. This dagger might have a few more problems than no scabbard and a pitted blade.

Looks like overlapping runes UUg lee... This is a good one to stay away from. If you zoom in on the back view the crossguards look more in proportion though.
